Personality Project - Makenzie B.

First Slide:
In my first slide, which is my family slide, I have 3 pictures. I have a picture of a Pomeranian and Dioxin mix dog, a gray cat, and a family picture of four people. I have a pet dog whose name is Moses who is 1 and a half years old and will be two in May. I got him about a year and a half ago. I have a cat whose name is Jinx and he is 5 years old. I got him about 4 and half years ago. I have a family of four with a new baby brother that is going to be born on February 22nd.
Second Slide:
On my inherited features slide I have a picture of brown hair, a ruler pointing down, and blue eyes. I inherited my shortness from both my mom and dad. My mom is very short and my dad is not very tall. I am only about 5 ft 2. I inherited my brown hair from my mom and dad as well. I inherited my moms blue eyes, which is the reason for that picture.
Third Slide:
On my outer appearance slide I have everything that represents me. I have a Hollister and Aeropastle logo on my slide because those are two of my favorite stores I shop at. My hair is naturally straight but to make it very straight I have to use my Bed Head straightener. I have a picture of a necklace and a picture of a pair of earrings because that is some of the jewelry I wear. I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner for my hair and the blow dryer I use is also Bed Head.
Fourth Slide:
One of my pictures for skills and abilities is a basketball. I have a picture of a basketball because I am on the Red select team for Pewaukee and really enjoy playing it. I also have a picture of softball because I am on a select team but I do not play at Pewaukee. I have a picture of a track because I really enjoy running. I like sprinting short distances more than long distances. My favorite subject is Language Arts and I really enjoy writing about all different things. For a fun skill I really enjoy baking and cooking all different types of foods.
Fifth Slide:
In my future I hope to do many things. I have a picture of a palm tree because I would really like to go to Hawaii someday. I have never been on the ocean so I would love to experience that and what it looks like. I have a picture of a graduation cap because I plan to graduate from High School and go to college. I am not sure what college I would like to go to yet though. I have a picture of a vet because for my job after college I would like to be a veterinarian or a doctor.
Sixth Slide:
My eating habits slide shows a picture of the Noodle and Company logo, steak, cheese crossed out, broccoli crossed out, and ice cream. The picture of Noodles and Company is on my slide because Noodles is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. I have a picture of broccoli crossed out and cheese crossed out because I hate cheese and I hate broccoli. I have a picture of steak because steak is probably my favorite meat I like. I have a picture of an orange because my favorite fruit is an orange.
Seventh Slide:
On this slide I have a picture of insects, an F on a project, a sports jersey with hair ties, and people telling secrets. I have a picture of insects because I have a fear of any type of bug. I have a bad grade because it really bothers me when I get a bad grade on homework or a bad grade on a test. I have picture of a sports jersey with hair ties because it really bothers me when people are playing basketball, softball, volleyball or any sport and they tie their jersey back to make it really tight. I have a picture of people telling secrets because I don’t like when people say they have a secret and wont tell you because it could be about you and it is disrespectful.
Eighth Slide:
I have many different favorite things I like. I have a picture of a puppy because my favorite animal is a dog. I have a big of a blue background because my favorite color is blue. I have a picture of the number 13 because I am 13 for every sport, and that became my favorite number. I have a picture of the sun because my favorite season is summer. I have a picture of the American Eagle logo because American Eagle is my favorite store to shop. I have a picture of a horse shoe because my favorite football team is the Indianapolis Colts. The picture of the Christmas Tree represents my favorite holiday which is Christmas. I have a picture of a pencil because my favorite subject is Language Arts.
Ninth Slide:
On this slide I have a picture of a new baby boy, a gymnastic trophy and gymnastics medals, a Kentucky Derby sign, and Disney World. The picture of the baby boy is because I am going to have a new brother on February 22nd. I have a gymnastic trophy because I did gymnastics for 8 years and won the state championships. I have medals because I received many medals from gymnastics. I have been to the Kentucky Derby on the ground but not actually watching the Kentucky Derby live. I have a picture of Disney World because about 3 years ago it was my first time going to Disney World.

Personality Project Post~Samm S
OUTSIDE:
My family is one big happy family, we go on many vacations together and spend a whole bunch of time together. A tradition that we have is that we always get together with our entire family and celebrate Christmas and we also go and get a Christmas tree every year the day after Thanksgiving. In my family slide I have a picture of my mom-Linda, and my dad-Jeff, on their last cruise that they went on. Then there are two pictures of me and my sister because we like to just hang out and goof around when we have nothing to do, and lastly there is a picture of my two cats. My dad’s name is Jeff, and almost everything that I have inherited has come from his side of the family. My mom’s name is Linda, and really since I have almost everything from my dad’s side I really have nothing from her except that she talks a lot and so do I—it is something that I just love to do! Talk and Laugh! My sisters name is Allie, and well I don’t really know what I can say about her. She is fun, funny, weird, goofy and loves to sing and look in the mirror. Lastly my cats names are Mario and Missy, they are-well, hilarious! They run around the house like they are horses, or they are in our basement looking for something they can bring up like yarn or markers, really anything they can find, and when they aren’t doing that they are really sleeping all day long.
Like I said in my last paragraph almost everything that I have inherited is from my dad’s side of the family. In my inherited features slide I have a arrow pointing to a lady with brown/blonde hair because my hair is the color sandy brown or dirty blonde- I don’t really know, even my parents don’t know(haha), and that is what color my dad’s sisters and he had, and I also got very thick and curly hair from his side of the family. Another thing that I have inherited from their side is that I am short. Everybody in my dad’s family was 5’4 or under. One of my aunts in 5 feet, my other 2 aunts are about 5’2-5’3 and that is how tall my grandparents were as well, and according to my doctor I am finished growing and right now I am about 5’3, which clearly shows that I am short. Lastly, my dad has hazel eyes and so do I which is another thing that I inherited from his side. Now, there is only one thing that I really inherited from my mom and that would be that I like to talk and laugh a whole bunch!
For my outer appearance I really like the stores Aeropostale and American Eagle. These are the stores that I shop at the most and I get a lot of my clothes there. I also like the brand name Coach and have a pair of shoes that are real from Coach. Another name brand that I like is Tiffany and Co., and I have a real necklace and bracelet from them which I wear all the time. Another picture on my Outer Appearance slide is a picture of my shampoo which is the blue Herbal Essence and the last picture on this category is, is a straightener. I use my straightener almost every morning unless I don’t have time to blow dry may hair, but otherwise I really straighten my hair every morning.
For my Inherited Traits slide, there are three pictures. First, there is a picture of a hand with an R in it because something that was a trait that I inherited was that I am right handed. Another picture that was on that slide was a pair of glasses with an cross out sign in it because I have never had glasses and I have perfect 20.20 visions. One more thing that has a cross out sign on it is a allergy sign because I have never had any allergies, I don’t have any and I’m not allergic to anything either. So that is why that is on that slide with a cross out/ no sign on it.
For my Social Behavior there is a picture of a cell phone, one because that is the phone I want next and texting is a way that I communicate with my friends besides talking with them in person, and something that I love to do. Another picture that was on my social behavior was a picture of me and Lizzie Least because that is totally the way we act all the time. Just kidding, but we have a lot of fun. Lastly there is a picture of Justin Bieber because he is truly my role model! Actually I am just totally in love with him and I think that I am his biggest fan! Haha Also I have a slide right after that, that just shows a few of my friends and all the pictures on that slide are from the past cheerleading season, which was a blast!
For the next slide, the Talents, Skills, and Abilities slide I have three pictures on it. The first picture is a picture of a swimmer, that has the logo EXPRESS on it and a little clip at the bottom that shows another thing for EXPRESS because that is the team that I swim for currently. I started swimming on a swim team when I was 4 years old on Lake Country, and continued on that team until I was 8 years old. Then I changed teams to Waukesha Express Swim team when I was 8 and have been on that team until now. Another picture on that slide is a picture of a softball that says fast pitch because ever since I was little I started playing T-ball and then went to softball, and last year I changed to fast pitch and I really like playing so that is why I put that picture on that. Lastly I put a picture of a piano on the Talents, Skills, and Abilities slide because I started playing the piano when I was four and continued until last year when I quit because I didn’t have to play the piano anymore with my sports and swimming 6 days a week, I just didn’t have time but I still play for fun when I get bored sometimes.
INSIDE:
For my inside slide, it starts with Future Plans. For my future I plan on graduating and then continuing on to UW Madison collage, because I would love to go and get a doctors degree because when I grow up I really want to be a orthopedic surgeon so I really want to go to Madison to get my degree. Another thing that I plan on doing when I grow, is getting married and having three children.
For my eating habits slide, there is a picture of pizza and steak because I think that those are my favorite foods. Another picture on that slide is a picture of the Texas Roadhouse logo because that is my favorite restaurant. Then there is a picture of cauliflower with a no sign through it because I hate cauliflower—the taste and the smell of it. Lastly there is a picture of a clock with the time 4:45 in it because that is usually the time I eat because I leave for swimming at 5:30 and don’t get home until 8:30 and I don’t want to eat when I get home and then after eat before I leave, I go and get ready and by that time it is about time to leave for swimming which is why I eat so early, and according to our coach we are supposed to eat about 2 hours before practice so that is about 2 hours before my practice starts.
For the next slide, the Fears and Pet Peeves slide, there are two pictures that show snakes and spiders, and insects because those truly scare me the most. I can’t stand insects and snakes freak me out the most! I am like deathly afraid, more than tornadoes. The other picture on this slide is a picture of earphones for an iPod, because something that just eirtitates me is when you are sharing earphones with someone and they put in the left earphone in their right ear or exactly the opposite. It eiritates me so much because the earphones clearly say L and R on them and when people put the wrong one in it just bugs me to pieces. Another pet peeve I have is when people are listening to the radio and they constantly are changing the channels if there are commercials on. Just leave it on the channel and wait for the music to come back on!
For my favorites page I have many picture on it. First, I have a picture of the movie Elf. It is my ultimate favorite movie—I can quote every line of it I have watched it so much! I watch it in the middle of summer, I don’t care it’s a Christmas movie, I watch it anyways. The next picture on this slide is the word F/CE because it’s my favorite class, and 17 is on here as well because that is my favorite number. Another picture is a picture of a sun because Summer is my favorite season. You get to lay in the sun, get a tan and swim in pools, how couldn’t that be fun. There is also a picture of the cover of Make It or Break It, which is a TV show, because that is my very favorite show on every Monday night. A few more things that I have on this slide is a picture with purple, aqua, and pink in a square because those are my favorite colors, and lastly there is a picture of Justin Bieber again, because he is my favorite singer!
In my Emotions and Feelings slide, there is a picture of my sister Allie. She makes me upset and angry, but also happy and makes me laugh a lot! What can I say, I got to love her! Another picture on this slide is a picture of a coffin and a funeral because that is something that makes me really sad, and there is also a picture of some random kids because whenever I see little kids or baby sits for them they always make me happy so that is why there is a picture of that on this slide as well.
For my last slide, the Life Experiences slide, there are four pictures. The first picture is a picture of a cruise. I have been on three cruises in my life. I have been to almost all the Caribbean Islands and have been on two Disney cruises and a Carnival. Another picture on this slide is a picture of a moving box because I have moved twice in my life time. Then, there is a picture of a coffin/funeral again because about 2 ½ years ago my uncle passed away because of Pancreatic Cancer. Lastly, there is a picture of a tornado because about 1 ½ years ago, I was in 2 small tornadoes, all in one day. It was one of the scariest things that I think have ever happened to me in my life, because I didn’t know what was going to happen.
This project was really cool because it really made me actually think of everything in my life and really almost “learn” about myself. Things that you haven’t thought of in a long time. I really liked this project and I would recommend it for next year! I also think it is a cool way to show your class mates stuff that they might not know about you. If I had to suggest something for next year, the only thing that I would say that you should change for next year is not making them type all of these paragraphs because besides finding all of the pictures and then having to write all of this is really exhausting and honestly I don’t think necessary. I would say that if you would want them to write something maybe have them write like a page paper just summarizing their inside, and summarizing the outside. Otherwise, I liked this project a lot!

Family:
In my family slide on my power point there are 4 picture. These pictures included a boxer, a family of seven, Illinois, and a Christmas tree. I live in a family of seven people, including my grandma that has lived with us for the past three years. We also have a pet dog named Bear, he is a flashy fawn boxer and is two years old in human years. Majority of our family lives and always have lived in Illinois, so we go there for all of the holidays to visit with everyone. One of our traditions for holidays is to put up our Christmas tree together and decorate it as a family.
Inherited Features:
On my inherited features slide it includes pictures of a brown eye, brown hair, a stick figure laughing, a nose, and the word short. I inherited my mom’s dark brown eyes and her dark brown hair, which is the reason for both of those pictures. I also inherited my mom’s height which is very short, and her laugh, which is very loud. The main feature I inherited from my dad is his round nose that I have as well.
Inherited Traits:
There is a picture of glasses being crossed out, sport equipment, a right hand, and a person running in my inherited traits slide. I inherited many traits from my mom including her 20/20 eyesight, so I do not have to wear any glasses. I also inherited my use of my right hand from my mom. Everyone in my family except for my dad uses their right hand for everything. The last thing I inherited from my mom was her speed, she ran track in high school and I play soccer. When my dad was in high school he was very athletic, which was passed down to me and my love for sports.
Outer Appearance:
My outer appearance slide contains a picture of samba indoor shoes, the Buckle logo, a hair straightener, moccasins, and American Eagle jeans. My favorite tennis shoes are Adidas Sambas and American Eagle moccasins. The only jeans I wear are from American Eagle, so I put a picture of a couple pairs of my favorite pairs. I wear my hair straight, and to do that I have to straighten in with my straightener.
Social Behavior:
My social behavior slide contains three pictures which are a cell phone, the Facebook logo and a family at a dinner table. I use my cell phone for a good majority of my communication at home. I text my friends half the time, and the other half I talk to them on the phone. I also communicate with my friends on Facebook if they’re not available to talk on the phone. Then the last picture is the family at the dinner table, my communication with my family is taken place around the dinner table. That is when I talk to my family the most, while we are eating dinner.
Talents/Skills/Hobbies:
For my talents and hobbies I have a picture of a microphone, soccer ball, the word rock-climbing, and a piece of paper and pencil. I love to sing, I sing at my church often and I am in choir at school. I plan to keep taking choir all throughout my school years if I can. There is also a soccer ball because soccer is my favorite activity to do and I’ve been playing ever since I was five. I plan to go as far as possible with soccer and hope I succeed. The word rock-climbing is placed on the slide because I love to rock climb whenever I can. I used to be deathly afraid of heights but now rock-climbing is one of the most entertaining activities I do. Lastly, the reason for the paper and pencil is my love for writing. Depending on the subject writing comes easy to me and I really enjoy it.
Future Plans:
For my future plans I have the North Carolina University logo, a picture of a soccer team, a group of graduates, and a picture of a coral reef. The NCU logo is symbolizing my dream to go there for college, it is also my dream to play for their soccer team. Which is the reasoning for the picture of the soccer team. I put a picture of graduates because to get to college, you obviously have to graduate, so that is another one of my future goals or plan. Lastly is a picture of a coral reef, I put this on my slide because besides soccer I would love to study the ocean. I have always been interested in the different species of corals and creatures that live in the ocean.
Eating Habits:
My eating habits slide contains a picture of oranges, the Moe’s logo, and a picture of a mushroom that is crossed out. My favorite fruit is oranges and I eat probably around two oranges a day. The Moe’s Southwest Grill’s logo is on my slide because it is my favorite restaurant in Pewaukee. Then the picture with the mushroom crossed out is on my slide because I hate mushrooms.
Fears and Pet Peeves:
On this slide I have a picture of a person whispering, the word bragging, a snake and a cat. One of my biggest pet peeves is whispering. It is rude and you never know what they could be talking about. Another of my biggest pet peeves is bragging. When all a person talks about is how good they are at sports, singing, school, etc. When I was little I was bitten and scratched by a kitten, so ever since I have been deathly afraid of them. I am also terrified of being bitten by a snake, which is why there is a picture of a snake.
Favorites:
I have a picture of Owl City, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band, Avatar, the number 17 and Lionel Messi’s jersey. I have a picture of Owl City because I love all of their songs, I also love the band Black Eyed Peas, and Dave Matthews Band. I have a picture of the cover of Avatar because that is my favorite movie. There is the number 17 because that is not only my favorite number but my soccer number. The last picture on this slide is a picture of Lionel Messi’s jersey because he is my favorite soccer player and has inspired me to keep going with soccer.
Emotions:
Under my smiley face column are all the things that cheer me up and make me happier. There is a picture of my family, because they always know how to cheer me up. There is a picture of music notes because music makes me happier. There is also a picture of a soccer ball, because whenever I’m down soccer always cheers me up. The next picture is a picture of someone running, because whenever I am mad I go on a run and I feel much better. The pictures under my frown face are the things that make me sad. One of the pictures was a graveyard, because whenever I see one it reminds me of previous deaths in our family. Another picture under the column is one of an area with bad poverty. This always makes me sad to think what those people are going through who live there.
Life Experiences:
For my life experiences slide I have a picture of a baby boy, the Disney Wide World of Sports, and the Bahamas. My brother Gabe being born was a very big even or experience in my lifetime, he has changed my life in so many ways. A few months ago my soccer team and I were able to compete in the Disney Wide World of Sports tournament in Florida. This was an amazing trip and an unforgettable experience. The last picture of the Bahamas symbolizes my best vacation to the Bahamas. This was the most amazing vacation, the weather was perfect and the sites we saw were amazing.
Conclusion:
This project taught me a lot about myself that I didn’t even know. I have never really thought about some of the questions that were asked in this presentation. It really opened up my mind to bring out my inner feelings and to share it with my peers. I think people will be a little surprised about some of my goals and feelings. This project can really help us understand others and even ourselves.

On my first slide, I show three pictures to symbolize my family. One picture is of a golden retriever, representing my dog who’s a golden, named Maggie. Also, there’s a Christmas tree, which stands for the fact that my whole family gets together on Christmas and celebrates together. Lastly, there is a photo of a five person family with a mom, dad, and three girls. This symbolizes my family because there is the same amount of people.
Next are my inherited features. My first photo shows blue eyes because I inherited blue eyes from my dad. After that, there is a short man next to a taller man. The shorter man is being pointed to because I am very short for my age and this is because my mom was short, too. Finally, there’s a picture of a girl with long, wavy, brown hair, which is what my hair naturally looks like. I got this trait from my mom too, because this is exactly what her hair looks like.
After this is my inherited traits, such as the fact that I’m right handed like both of my parents. Also, it shows two athletes, which shows that I am athletic, just like both of my parents were. Last but not least, the picture of the glasses symbolizes the fact that I once had bad eyes, just like my dad, and had to wear glasses. Now, though, my eyes have readjusted and are fine.
In the next slide, I show my outer appearance is shown. One picture is of a hair straightener because more often than not, I use my straightener every morning on my hair. Also, I have the Abercrombie and Fitch and American Eagle logo because they are my two favorite clothing brands. Last, there is a picture of herbal essences because that’s the product brand that I use.
For my social behavior slide, one picture I show is of a volleyball. I show one because playing volleyball is a big part of my life and is something I spend a lot of time doing. Also, there’s a cell phone shown right next to it because talking on the phone and texting my friends’ is something that I do often to stay social. The last picture is a logo of facebook which is there because my facebook account keeps me connected to all of my friends all the time, which is important to me.
My next slide talks about some of my talents and skills. There is a picture of a flute and piano because I played both instruments until about 6th grade. The other two are both sport-related and deals with talents I have acquired. First is a runner, because I love to run and can run for long distances for a long time. Also, there’s a photo of two volleyball players, which symbolizes my skills in the sport.
Future plans of mine are discussed in my next slide. First off, the picture of the students in their caps and gowns shows graduating, which I definitely feel is important to do. Also, the picture of a family merely symbolizes how important I find it to want to have a family when I grow up. Lastly, there picture of a team while the arrow points at the coach. More than anything I would love to coach a volleyball team to help kids love the game as much as I do.
Following that slide, my favorite and least favorite foods are displayed. There is a picture of the Buffalo Wild Wings logo because that is easily my favorite restaurant. In addition, the bananas and Chinese food symbolize some of my other favorite types of food overall. Although, the last picture is of an orange with an X on it to show how much I dislike oranges.
Next, to start of my slide of fears and pet peeves, I have a picture of a coral reef, just to symbolize the ocean in general. More than anything, I am deadly afraid of the deep part of the ocean and all of the creatures that live down there. Along with that, I am very afraid of cats from bad experiences and always will be. Also, I am extremely afraid of even just the thought of cemeteries because of the sadness I feel. Finally, I wrote the word “LIAR” because more than anything, I cannot stand when people lie about something that they know they did. This is easily my biggest pet peeve.
In my next slide, I talk about my favorites in many categories. One topic I covered was my favorite band; which is All Time Low and is shown in the first picture. Next is a picture of Taylor Swift’s CD, which is filled with all of some of my favorite songs. After that, a scene of The Bachelor is shown; which is my favorite TV show. Lastly, the cover of the movie, New Moon is there because it is without a doubt my favorite movie.
In these next few pictures, I show a lot of my emotions and feelings. For example, in the photo of the girl and her sister, it’s there to symbolize the fact that my sister and I used to fight all of the time, but only do occasionally now. Also, the dog in the cage is to show how much I feel for injured or abandoned animals. Next, the picture of the boy losing is there to show the disappointment I have when I lose any game. Following that, a picture of friends is there to represent how happy I feel when I’m just with my friends. Finally, the picture of the surgeon operating on his patient is there to represent the sadness and uneasiness I feel around any medical components.
Last but not least, my final slide has many pictures symbolizing important life experiences I’ve had. For my first photo, I decided to show a picture of the cruise ship, the Freedom of the Seas. I put this here to show that I went on a cruise over Christmas break in 2009, which so much fun. Below that there is a picture of one of the islands we stopped at, to represent where I’ve been. After that, I showed a photo of a new born baby because, recently, my cousin Lauren had a new baby girl named Laila. This was a very special and important time for my whole family. Finally, the picture of the two people getting married represents my aunt and soon to be uncle who will be getting married very soon. After reading this essay or watching my PowerPoint, you will know some things already, but may learn some new things that may surprise you.
