The first slide in the Personality Project is on “My Family.” The picture of a family on the beach holding hands represents my family. There are four people in my family. Next to that picture, there is a picture of a dog. That is a Cairn terrier. My dog, who’s named Izzy, is a Cairn terrier. The last picture is of a bunch of little kids, 6 to be exact. I have 6 cousins in my family, and those little kids represent them. We are all very close, so that’s why they are holding hands.
The second slide in the Personality Project is on “Inherited Features.” I chose the first picture, which is of a girl with blue eyes, because I have blue eyes. I get my blue eyes from my dad. My brother also has blue eyes. The second picture is a picture of a little girl with brown hair. That little girl represents me, because I have brown hair. I get that from my mom and dad. My little brother has brown hair also. The last picture is of a tall person. I get the tall characteristic from my mom’s side of the family. My dad is tall, but his siblings are all short. So are my grandparents.
“Outer Appearance” is the third slide on my presentation. I have the picture of the American Eagle logo because I love to shop there. A lot of my clothes are from there. Next is a black hair straightener. I have the black hair straightener on there because I don’t like my curly hair, so I straighten it. Lastly, there is a picture of Asics shoes. I love to wear their shoes. They are comfortable and cute.
The fourth slide is on the topic, “Inherited Traits.” One of the pictures is of a pair glasses. I have near sidedness. I get that from my dad. The next picture is a pair of contacts. I got that from my dad also, because he also glasses. Lastly, there is a picture of a right hand. That represents my right handwriting. I get that from my dad AND mom. My little brother has right handwriting, also.
Next, there is the “Social Behavior” slide. The first picture is the game, Apples to Apples. I love that game. It is one of my favorite games. I love playing it with my family, cousins, and friends. Next, there is a picture of the Pewaukee Pirates logo. I chose to put this in because I go to school at Pewaukee and that I play sports for them. Volleyball is the sport that I play. Lastly, there is a picture of a mom and a daughter. I chose to put this because my mom is my role model. I learn everything from her. She is an awesome mom to look up to.
“Talents, Skills, and Abilities” is the next slide one the presentation The first picture represents me, as an Irish dancer. I’m an Irish dancer with the Trinity Irish Dance Company. The level that I’m at is the second highest level. It is difficult, but extremely fun. The next picture is of a volleyball player. That is the next sport that I play. I play it with school, every year. It is a fun sport where you get to be with your friends and enjoy the sport, at the same time. Lastly, there is a picture of a tennis racquet and ball. That is a sport that I only play in the summer. It is a fun sport, because you always are moving around.
The next portion is on the inside of me. The first slide for this portion is on “Future Plans.” The first picture is of the Irwin family. The Irwin family represents my future. I want to have a family of my own, just like the Irwin’s. Next to that picture is a picture of a girl holding up her diploma. When I’m older, I would like to graduate from both high school and college. Lastly, there is a picture of really cute little girls in ballet costumes. The job that I would like to get when I’m older is working at a dance studio for Irish dance or own a studio. That would be a life-long dream achieved.
“Eating Habits” is the very next slide. The first picture is of a bowl of chili crossed out. The one food that I absolutely won’t eat is chili. I don’t know why I don’t like it, it just is not good at all. Underneath that picture is a Moe’s Southwest Grill sign. I don’t go there very frequent, but their food is just great. The thing that I order the most from there is a cheese quesadilla with sour cream and homemade tortilla chips. That is one great meal. The last picture is of a piece of toast with peanut butter on it. This is my favorite after school, healthy snack. It has a great taste with it. I like many foods, but these foods just make my day when I bite into them.
The slide “Fears and Pet Peeves” comes next. My first picture is a picture of two parents yelling at their kid. This represents my parents and I, when we are not getting along too well. It bothers me that parents, not just mine, yell at their kids. I don’t like it. They should be able to get their emotions out some other way. Next, there is a picture of a line of Irish dancers at a competition. This is one thing that makes me nervous. Waiting for a long time for dancing really makes those nerves kick in. All of these thoughts go through your head, like will I win? Or will I mess up? Will the judge watch me? Those questions are just a few questions that run through my head before a competition. Lastly, there is a picture of a snake. Snakes really freak my out. They slither and make weird noises and I don’t like it. It really creeps me out.
The next slide is on the topic “ Favorites.” First, there is the number 7. The number 7 is my favorite number, because I am always lucky with it. If I want to win a competition, and I have the number 7, I usually do very well. It is really odd, but I like it. Next, there is a picture of a girl laying outside with some flowers. In the spring time, I love sitting outside reading a good book. The temperature is always perfect, not too hot or too cold. The flowers sitting next to you is such a pretty sight and they are beautiful. The last picture on the slide is of a little girl surrounded by everything pink. This little girl represents me. I have tons of things that are pink. My room is pink, my clothes are pink, and my favorite color is pink. Some people may things that pink things are for little kids, but that isn’t true. Pink can be anyone’s favorite color.
“Emotions and Feelings” is the next slide. The first picture is of a girl with her grandma. When I think of my grandma, I get sad. My grandma died a year ago from January. Even though it was a long time ago, I still miss her so much. We had so much fun together, and now those experiences are gone. The next picture is of a girl leaping off the ground, Irish dance style. Leaping through the air makes me really happy. I feel like an angel, floating through the sky. Lastly, there is a picture of a little baby crying. This is how I get my emotions out. Most people get their emotions out by crying, also. But others get their out by punching the wall, or someone else. Crying is probably one of the best way of getting emotions out, sad or good.
The very last slide is on “Life Experiences.” First, there is a picture of a little girl and her baby brother. This is supposed to represent the time when my little brother came to life. He was born when I was two, and the little girl looks like she is about two. Next, there is a picture of Irish dancers at awards. This picture is taking place at the World Irish Dance Championships. The girl the arrow is pointing at is NOT me, but it represents me getting second. In 2007, I came in 2nd at the Mid-American Irish Dance Championships in the age 11 category. That was a great day for me, and for every other dancer who had a great awards. My life is full of experiences that have been breath-taking and exciting, and my life is going to have about 1,000 more of them. Lastly, there is a picture of three trophies. Those are the trophies for the World Irish Dance Championships. I have not yet achieved that goal of winning World’s, but I have had many great wins that I get big trophies, just like the one in the picture. Irish dancing is a fun sport that is amusing, entertaining, nerve-wrecking, and allows you to have great loads of fun!
